The joyfulness and impulsive power of the music of the two Erkel Prize-winning musicians is living proof that there are no orders, no limits, only liberated joy when talented musicians work together. There are musicians whose ars poetics include the ambition to cross genre boundaries. They generally share an affinity for variation, a love of improvisation, and a dedication to composing music as well as making it. Creativity is the secret motto shared by these artists, many (though not all) of whom balance on the indefinable borderline between jazz and various crossover experiments. The musical meeting of Edina Szirtes Mókus and János Nagy Yancha is as natural a stage in the development of Hungarian music as any other, where musicians pushing their boundaries and seeking new paths begin to work together.

'We mainly play our own songs, which are everything we love and have learned. Sometimes it's folk, sometimes it's classical, sometimes it's both. But we also play works written to poems by contemporary Hungarian poets, and our favourite standards are also performed in their own arrangements. We play music that is not ostentatious, not hair-raising, not nerve-wracking, but we are happy and we do our job for the joy of music: we make music!' Mókus

The Workshop is the final event of a series of performances organised by the Hungarian Jazz Association and the House of Music, Hungary with improvisation as the central theme.
