Electro Folk Jam - Antonina Vinnyk (UKR)

Join us for this one-of-a-kind FREE interactive concert on the open air stage, where the main participants are people in the audience. The concert is based on the Ukrainian tradition of using group singing to serve communities as a kind of art therapy, where everyone uses their voices to create something together, and connect to each other in a new way. After sharing the story of each folk song, singer Antonina Vinnyk will teach the audience small melodic fragments, and will then build up layers of electronic beats, noises, and audience vocals to create a collective folk-electro-noise composition!

Antonina Vinnyk is a folk singer, vocal coach, director of the private Tonique Music School in Kyiv, member of the Ukrainian folk group Zvuchi Dochi, Ukrainian-Celtic band DeRuni, dark folk band Folkulaka, as well as vocalist in several Ukrainian folk metal and irish-punk bands. She is the artistic director of the vocal ensemble Tonic and soloist of the electrofolk project VogueNeCvit (Vognetsvit).
