SOLD-OUT - Gabor Gado French Quartet
Lineup change!
We would like to draw the attention of our dear audience that the original drummer will be replaced by Attila Gyárfás at this concert.
Gábor Gadó is an internationally significant guitarist of the Hungarian jazz scene, who after twelve years, returns to Hungary at this concert with the French Quartet, with which he achieved his greatest success. This guitarist, who moves on the border between jazz and contemporary music, is one of the most recognized Hungarian musicians and composers worldwide. A rare opportunity not to be missed.
Active since the beginning of the eighties, Gábor Gadó founded this Quartet in France in 2000, with which he achieved great international success with the records released by BMC Records and, of course, with the concerts. The French Quartet visited Hungary for the last time in 2011 with saxophonist Dave Liebman, and a concert album was also made of the performance. Gadó is an outstanding composer and musician - he became one of the defining figures of modern Hungarian music by crossing the classical music tradition and jazz with his unique insights. A musician literally out of the norm, able to compose with the universes of Peter Eötvös, Dave Liebman or Aki Takase. Gadó is a rare, unclassifiable artist, who reserves his appearances, a mysterious personality who effaces himself behind the music, refusing the rules of protocol, protecting the purity of his art from this world that defiles. It has been a long time since the Gábor Gadó French Quartet could be seen, now is the chance, a unique concert is guaranteed.
