SOLDOUT - Mudfield Acoustic

Mudfield, one of the most dynamically developing Hungarian rock bands of the past five years, started out in Szeghalom, and their first three albums have all been increasingly successful. The band announced their fourth album in the summer, but before its release – since they have been flirting with acoustic sound from the outset – they will play an acoustic concert at the House of Music on 14 January, with several songs that will be heard for the first time in Budapest. Prior to the concert, at 18:40, the band will give a public interview to journalist Miklós Pintér, and there will also be meeting for the audience.

Mudfield started out in Szeghalom in 2014 as Nightrain, but released their debut EP under their final name in 2016.Their debut album Sárrét [Mudfield], released in early 2019, was much awaited by a serious fan base thanks to the first crop of songs that had been reaching an ever-expanding audience. Straight in at number 12 on the domestic sales charts, the release went on to win a Fonogram award in the category "Hungarian hard rock or metal album of the year". The second album, Kelet népe [People of the East], shot up immediately to number 4 on the Mahas Album Sales Chart in 2020 and has since achieved gold album status. Their third LP, Szörnyeteg [The Beast], released on 23 December 2021, produced a radio hit with the track Napfénytenger [Sea of Sunshine], further boosting the group's popularity. Now Mudfield has matured into a sell-out band across the whole country. The first music video track to be taken from Mudfield's upcoming fourth album, entitled Óriások [Giants], was released in August of this year. The five-piece band had already recorded an acoustic version of one of the songs from their first album, and during the pandemic's enforced break they recorded a Mudfield Acoustic audio/video programme, an extended version of which will now be performed at the House of Music Hungary – with many songs that have never been heard acoustically in Budapest.
