Sára Bolyki – Petra Várallyay duo

The musical collaboration between Sára Bolyki and Petra Várallyay, which ranged from free improvisation to ethnojazz grooves, began in the early 2010s at the Bartók Consulate Jazz Department. Their vocal-violin duo formed on the open-air stage of the House of Music Hungary made their debut at the opening concert of the 2019 Bartók World Competition. In their special world of music, folk music and contemporary music form an organic fusion, the rhythmic complexity of ethnojazz as well as free improvisation is present in their own compositions and adaptations.
