Folk fusion: Pengetős Trio, Korinda, Szélműves
The Folkfusion project aims to build a bridge between the folk music of Hungary and the peoples neighboring us, highlighting both the musical similarities and the individual characteristics. The aim of the concert series is to introduce the common set of Hungarian, South Slavic and Romanian traditional repertoire to the general public in an unusual, innovative way, with unusual instrumental compositions, thus strengthening the sense of musical belonging to the neighboring peoples. Thanks to the comparative research of Béla Bartók, we know that the traditional folk music of the Hungarian and neighboring peoples has been in constant interaction with each other for centuries. Within the framework of the concert series, three orchestras - Pengetős Trio, Korinda orchestra - Szélműves - would like to present this phenomenon through Hungarian, Romanian and South Slavic music parallels with thematic concert materials compiled specifically for this project.
During the evening, all three bands will give independent concerts and perform together. After the concerts there will be a joint dance hall until midnight.
Covered Open-air Stage concerts
The program will be held even in rainy weather, as the Open-air Stage is largely covered.
